What would happen if you set the TD-3 as the primary for a Casio Keyboard?
Using an RD-9 as the sync, I also set it to manipulate the Casio through MIDI-Out.
During performance, I randomised the patterns of the TD-3 whilst it played its bass line as a drum pattern on the Casio.
I also manipulated the MIDI-Out of the RD-9 during performance, which is what that piano loop is from (its melody is based on the RD-9’s drum pattern).
The Casio is going through a pedal (which couldn’t be separated due to only having 2 channels).
The organ sound is from the Casio’s auto chord, also based on the TD-3’s bass line.
Extra console dub effects added prior to amping it up.
Lots of stuff to mine from the two stems, I’ll be able to better separate stuff like this when I get a multi-track recorder with more than 2 inputs.
Have fun :)
