Pulling Jaspertine opened an entirely new world of discovery for me. I spent three days listening to his extensive and excellent full song stem packs. I created four different sessions in Pro Tools with four different stem packs. I worked a little on each one until this one caught the muse and I went deep into flow state.

I’ve been quite sick for the past few weeks, the only thing I’ve done other than rest and sleep in bed is work on this song. Music is healing.

I got sick on the heels of the LA fires — one of the most devastating experiences I’ve ever witnessed. We were in an evacuation warning for a week (very stressful) but we were lucky — many of our closest friends lost everything they own.

My dear friend’s studio where I’ve been recording my musical for the past six years burned to the ground. I am broken hearted and weak but also know we are resilient. Music is such an incredible resource.

A big thanks to Apoxode for creating great sounds I could chop into a loop to match Jaspertine’s quality drum track to give the chorus extra punch.
